Giampiero Rufini is Vice President of Product Management. He joined the Decisyon team in 2005 and started to support businesses in their use of the Decisyon platform. Through his work, he helped businesses coordinate plant operations and gain a greater level of efficiency and execution. He has managed several projects for pharmaceutical customers, merging lean production principles (value creation, pull, flow, goal alignment, continuous improvement) with the Decisyon platform (advanced technology, usability, control, integration, security, scalability, performance, and collaboration). Giampiero started his career in 1998 in computer system validation, and then worked in production area support and system development for pharmaceutical companies. In 2007, Giampiero became the Quality Manager for Decisyon, leading the company successfully through the ISO 9001:2008 certification process, and promoting a continuous improvement culture throughout the company. Giampiero studied university-level electronics.
Cosimo Palmisano is Vice President of Business Development – EMEA at Decisyon. He is a telecommunication engineer and an expert in Data Mining and Customer Relationship Management, with 10 years of experience in applying predictive statistical models on big data. In March 2011, Cosimo founded his first start-up in the Social CRM space called Ecce Customer. In April 2011, Ecce acquired its first 3 customers (Alpitour, Telecom, UNICEF). The Ecce business idea led to a grant from the Fulbright Commission in 2009. The grant allowed Cosimo to spend nine months in Silicon Valley to attend Tech Entrepreneurship courses at Stanford, Berkeley, and Santa Clara University, pitching the Ecce business plan to investors and potential partners, and finally becoming one of the first hires of Decisyon in the United States. The TR35 Journal from MIT (Boston) in 2010 selected Ecce as one of the 10 most innovative ideas in Italy, and in 2011 Ecce was given a prize by the ItaliaCamp foundation as “10 idee per l’Italia.” Cosimo received his PhD in Industrial Management Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari (Italy) and was a Visiting Scholar at the Stern School of Business, New York University. The main research topic was about Contextual Marketing, Data Mining, and Contextual Recommender Systems. After he received his PhD, he became Senior Business Analyst at the Customer Intelligence department of FIAT Group Automobiles. Cosimo has been published in numerous international scientific publications and books on these topics. In 2010, Cosimo achieved Social CRM professional certification in London from Paul Greenberg.
Michael Wilson is Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Michael has over 30 years of sales, marketing and business development experience, focusing on the Internet of Things for the last 10 years. Over the course of his career, Michael has developed and implemented innovative global market, channel and customer engagement and development strategies that cover large enterprise, institutional customers and global channel partnerships. Prior to Decisyon, Michael led the Business Development and Sales teams at WiSilica, Veniam, Mavenir, Infineon, Millmetrix Broadband Networks and 3Com/USRobotics. Michael brings a diversified knowledge base in end devices, sensors, network infrastructure, cloud services and applications, spanning the core aspects of the Internet of Things. Michael earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the Ohio State University College of Business.
Maurizio Hadley is Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and GM of Decisyon Italy. Maurizio has over 20 years of experience in IT consulting and in launching new technologies in the BI, CPM, and Social CRM markets. Since 2006, he has been in charge of sales development and market expansion of Decisyon Italy. Since 2011, he has developed the sales operation for ECCE, Decisyon’s social CRM solution. In the last 10 years, Maurizio’s portfolio has been focused around has expanded launching emerging technologies and transforming them into a corporate solution for global expansion. He is uniquely able to position technologies in emerging and complex markets at the CXO level, focusing mostly on large corporations. Maurizio is driven to help CXOs to understand the added value generated by these technologies so they will achieve their corporate goals and targets.
Francesco Carbonera is Vice President of Client Services. He brings more than 20 years of experience with high-tech companies and expertise in consulting, technology, finance, and client care. Francesco has overall responsibility for leading and nurturing Decisyon’s client relationships including managing the service operations, global account management, and day-to-day tactical client engagement. He also oversees all aspects of client care programs, from onboarding and training to management of programs after launch. Francesco joined Decisyon in 2010 leading the Client Consulting team. He started his career in corporate finance where he held a number of progressively senior positions, from Financial Manager in a small production company to Finance and Controller position for an Italian electronics industry group. Francesco has a significant experience and knowledge in consulting services. He was a Consultancy Director at a System Integration Services company where he led several planning projects for very large organizations. Francesco received his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from Istituto Universitario di Bergamo in Italy and his MBA Degree from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Finance.
Roberto Capponi is Vice President of Program Management. Roberto joined Decisyon in 2005 and manages the delivery of Decisyon-built projects—coordinating the activities of internal consultant teams, contractors, and partners. He also manages training and support services, interacting with departments across the company, and collaborating closely with sales. He began working in the software industry in 1982 with Proges Coop, a software house in Rome whose primary business was developing systems for government institutions. In 1985, Roberto joined pharmaceutical giant Janssen Italy where he worked for 16 years managing numerous information technology projects. His last position at Janssen was manager of Computer Integrated Manufacturing for their Materials Handling System—an automated warehouse for goods stocking and handling to-and-from plant departments. Prior to joining Decisyon, Roberto worked for Unyversys as international Business Intelligence Project Leader, implementing projects in Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, and Turkey.
Max Pane is Chief Technology Officer. One of Decisyon’s co-founders, Max has been with the company for more than 10 years and has 20 years of software and infrastructure experience. A digital technology visionary, his responsibilities are anchored in technology, product architecture, performance and security including software design & quality, infrastructure optimization and DevOps. He leads Decisyon’s engineering teams and works directly with our sales team and technology partners to ensure that our products deliver the world-class performance, compliance, automation and security Decisyon’s clients deserve. Prior to Decisyon, Max worked with ISP, networking and software development companies in diverse verticals such as manufacturing, marketing, CRM and data analytics. Max has been a key figure for Decisyon in large-scale deployments for a number of our marquee clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Wyeth, Pfizer, Adeo and GE. He was an early adopter of cloud PaaS (platform as a service) and IaaS (infrastructure as a service) providers such AWS, PCF and OpenStack and led the effort to create Decisyon’s cloud native platform, Decisyon App Composer (DAC) for Predix.
Franco Petrucci is Founder & Chief Evangelist at Decisyon. He founded Decisyon in 2005 and served as CEO until October 2012. After graduation, Franco founded his first company (FP) and then a second one (Unyversys) in 2001, which grew to a size of 15 employees. While he was building these two companies, Franco was also involved in large scale projects with a number of companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Wyeth, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Trelleborg. His work covered all company departments: production, planning, purchasing, shipping, sales, finance, quality control, and quality assurance. Franco graduated from the University of Rome La Sapienza, with a degree in Electronics Engineering. While at the university, he held freelance positions as a programmer, analyst, system administrator, process consultant, and project manager on complex multinational projects.
Alex Aminian is the President and CEO of Decisyon. He previously served as Decisyon’s COO for over three years, leading and executing the company’s IoT strategy, technology and product development, marketing and GTM – all while driving improvements in day-to-day processing and operational speed. Alex has grown businesses organically and through numerous strategic M&A’s, making them successful by strengthening client relationships, building top-performing teams, and architecting and commercializing scalable enterprise solutions.
From 2006-2014, Alex served as President and CEO of DAVID Corporation, an enterprise and SaaS software solutions provider for the Risk Management market. During his eight-year tenure there, he grew its revenue by sixfold and its profit by over 300%. He brings 25+ years of software and business experience including leading and operating both established data-driven corporations and high tech startups such as Oracle/Hyperion, Intergraph, Priceline and LexisNexis/Insurity. Alex earned an undergraduate degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Utah State University and his MS in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University. He also completed Finance and Marketing Executive courses at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business School.
